Urhea and VALD, an international company specialising in measurement and data technology for performance and rehabilitation assessment, are strengthening their collaboration to advance Finnish sport. The collaboration is driven by a shared goal of supporting athletes, coaches and sports clubs through objective data, expertise and practical measurement and assessment solutions.
The collaboration gives Urhea access to VALD’s advanced measurement and assessment technology, which can be used to assess athlete performance, monitor training, support rehabilitation and inform coaching decisions. These measurement and assessment solutions will support Urhea’s high-performance and academy athletes, coaches and specialists, while enabling even stronger collaboration with sports clubs.
VALD’s technology provides objective data to support the assessment of performance, force production, movement and rehabilitation progress. At Urhea, these data-driven tools can be integrated into day-to-day coaching and specialist practice, enabling athlete development to be monitored more systematically and supporting more informed decision-making.
The collaboration between Urhea and VALD builds on their previous work together. It is now being expanded as part of Urhea’s ambition to develop an even stronger high-performance sport environment founded on research-based knowledge and practical expertise.

The technology is designed to support the expertise and clinical reasoning of coaches and specialists by providing objective data for training, rehabilitation and the athlete’s overall development.
